I have hunted waterfowl extensively in Ohio and throughout the country, both on my own and with some of the finest guides in this country. I can honestly say that Brian and John owners of the Crooked River Guide Service are absolutely top shelf. They and their scouts do a great job of getting the clients on birds and putting them in position to have a good hunt. They certainly did with me, on more than one occasion. It is apparent that they also really enjoy plying their craft and are always striving to stay on the cutting edge in their field.
Both take time to know their clients and work well with a wide variety of people. They are patient and instructive in the field and following their advice and insight will usually garner favorable outcomes. They know the birds and how to get them set up for a great shot. They take care to place there decoys and binds properly and it is not unusual for them to change layouts as conditions change. Not only that they give their knowledge freely in order to further the sport of water fowling.
I advise a small Rod and Gun club at Baldwin-Wallace College and they have come out on a number of occasions to give free water fowl hunting seminars to our students and local community. In closing I highly recommend the Crooked River Guide Service for a quality hunt.
